Hey there 👋🏻 My name is Filip, I was born in 1986 in Wrocław, where I currently live. For over 10 years, I lived across the western border, in Berlin, but I recently returned. I studied Polish philology at the University of Wrocław, which I didn't eventually graduate from, where I met my wife, Katie. We have two kids: a 10-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son.
On a daily basis, I use a Mac for both work and my desk hobbies. I still struggle with Linux at my job and at home as a SysAdmin (or, Infra Engineer, DevOps, or whatever new term describes my profession). My preferred distribution has consistently remained Debian GNU/Linux.
“My job is my hobby”, which sounds exciting until you realize it means I’m always surrounded by computers. I'm passionate about them, particularly UNIX and UNIX-like operating systems, which is evidenced by the technical nature of my blogs (links above in the “Socials”).
